The quilt blocks tell the stories of 12 women who encountered their own struggles on the home front while their husbands were away. The program features 43 prints in a varied color palette. Patterns were written by Vivian Ritter with historical background and tips provided by Homestead Hearth. The fabrics for this quilt top are wonderful and "clear" and the patterns are very well written and illustrated!

Thangles Block of the Month Series 7
This Block of the Month program has 24 blocks (2 - 6" blocks per month) that will be teamed with a finishing kit for a quilt top that measures 67” x 94” (twin sized). There are 3 "colorways" - Blue, Brown and Civil War Blue and Burgundy (All are on display at the store). There are only a few openings in the 3 color ways so call soon if you are interested.
A registration fee of $5.00 covers the cost of a Thangles packet needed to make the 6" blocks. The cost per month, for fabric, is $1.00 (per 2 blocks). For an additional monthly fee of $3.50 you can also purchase the fabric needed for the star points to increase the blocks to 12". An additional package of 3" Thangles will be needed for the star points. Reservations will be taken for a finishing kit ($44.95) which will include the sashing, cornerstones, outer border and binding to make the quilt top measure 67" x 94".

Fabrics are by Judie Rothermel and Patterns by Vicki Bellino. This 77” x 83” quilt is a 6 month program and includes English paper piecing, appliqué and piecing to make a row style quilt.
The cost to participate in this program is only $32.95 per month or $177.93 if paid up front.
